Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

This policy describes how the DupPhotos app handles information. It is provided for transparency and for App Store Connect. It does not constitute legal advice.

Summary

DupPhotos is designed to work on your device. You scan your photo library; the app groups duplicates locally and deletes only the items you confirm. We do not require you to create an account.

Photo library

The app requests access to your photo library so it can find duplicate groups and delete the items you confirm. All analysis happens on the device — your photos are never uploaded to our servers. Deleted items go to Recently Deleted in Apple Photos first. Use of photos is tied to the permissions you grant in iOS Settings.

No ads, no tracking

DupPhotos shows no advertisements and does not use App Tracking Transparency to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. You can review tracking settings on iPhone in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Crash reports

To fix bugs, the app may send crash reports through Sentry, which can include limited device and diagnostic signals (such as device type, OS version, and IP address). Crash data is used only to improve stability.

Subscriptions

Optional Pro access is sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is processed by Apple; purchase status may be synced through RevenueCat to unlock Pro across your devices. We do not see or store your payment details.

Data we do not sell

We do not sell your personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The “last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
