These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the DupPhotos iPhone app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. This page is provided for transparency and App Store requirements; it is not legal advice.
1. The app
DupPhotos scans the photo library on your device, groups exact duplicates, similar shots, and screenshots, and deletes only the items you confirm. Core analysis is intended to run on your device. Features, limits, and availability may change as we update the app.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DupPhotos on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store terms and these Terms. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or use the app for unlawful purposes.
3. Free features
Cleaning exact duplicates is free, subject to limits we publish in the app (for example, a cap on items confirmed in a single batch for free users). Deleted items go to Recently Deleted in Apple Photos first.
4. Pro subscriptions and purchases
Optional Pro access may unlock similar-photo and screenshot cleanup, unlimited batch deletes, and any other benefits shown at purchase time. Pro may be offered as:
- Auto-renewable subscriptions (for example monthly or yearly), billed through your Apple ID; or
- A one-time (non-consumable) purchase for lifetime access, if offered.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Manage, cancel, or request refunds through Apple.
Prices are shown in the app and App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by region.
5. Your content
You retain rights to photos you review with DupPhotos. You are responsible for having the rights to use that content. We do not claim ownership of your media. Review carefully before confirming a delete.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to infringe others’ rights.
7. Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.
9. Privacy
How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Third-party services
The app may rely on Apple platforms and third parties such as crash-reporting and purchase-status providers. Their terms also apply.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms when the app or legal requirements change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
